Description

Our Describing Numerical Data lesson plan teaches students how to describe numerical data and discusses why being able to describe numerical data is necessary for mathematics. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a set of numerical data by filling in a frequency table, creating a dot plot or bar chart for their data, and answering questions about their data. Students demonstrate their understanding of the lesson material by answering questions about and interpreting graphs about data.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to describe the attribute under investigation such as how it was measured and the units of measurement.
