Description

Our Analyze Patterns and Relationships lesson plan introduces students to strategies they can use to find patterns in groups of numbers. The lesson demonstrates how to write the pattern using an algebraic equation and provides examples for patterns using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. During this lesson, students are asked to roll a dice to find values that they then use to solve problems and fill in a chart and corresponding graph. Students are also asked to generate term sequences using a given number of terms and specific rules, demonstrating their ability to solve problems using the lesson material.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to generate two numerical patterns, find missing terms, form ordered pairs and graph.

    Always in clutch

My overall experience with the items is an I don’t know what I would do without them. I use the items for enrichment and to help my students that need extra help with the curriculum.

    Good resource!

This resource provided really good examples. I did have to adapt it a bit for my 5th graders.
