Description
Our Writing to Task, Purpose, Audience lesson plan teaches students about different types of tasks, purposes, and audiences and how to adapt their writing for each. During this lesson, students are asked to look at a list of people or groups and tell whether the writing for each audience would be formal or informal and then answer questions about their choices for various groups or individuals. Students are also asked to choose the most likely audience for a variety of scenarios, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson material.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development and organization are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience.
