Using Visual Displays

Our Using Visual Displays lesson plan teaches students the advantages of using visual displays in presentations. Students practice creating their own visual display using the steps outlined in the lesson.

Our Using Visual Displays lesson plan guides students through the process of creating and using a visual display to enhance a presentation. The lesson covers why visual displays are important and how they should be created to be the most effective. During this lesson, students are asked to create a presentation that uses visuals, going through each step one-by-one to brainstorm, plan, and create the presentation; they then present it to the class, strengthening their public speaking skills. Students are also asked to complete a quiz about the importance of visual displays and how they are used in order to test their understanding of the lesson material.

At the end of the lesson, students will create a visual display that accompanies a presentation for peers and teachers in a public speaking format.
