Description
Our Using Simple and Compound Sentences lesson plan teaches students about different sentence types and how to form and use them. During this lesson, students are asked to combine parts of sentences to create new, full sentences (both simple and compound). Students are also asked to match sentence types (interrogative, declarative, imperative, and exclamatory) with their correct meaning and examples, demonstrating their understanding of each type.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to produce and expand complete simple and compound declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences in response to prompts.
