Description

Our Using Dialogue and Description lesson plan teaches students strategies for using dialogue and description to enhance their writing. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to choose an event/experience, write an introduction, and then, using dialogue and description, develop the event/experience or show the responses of characters to different situations. Students are also asked to match example pieces of dialogue to the emotion or character response they’re showing.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to use dialogue and description to develop experiences and events or show the responses of characters to situations.
