What our Teaching Students on the Spectrum lesson plan includes

Lesson Objectives and Overview: Teaching Students on the Spectrum learn professional advice and strategies on how to effectively run an inclusive classroom, which includes ALL of your students.

Working with certified professionals in the area of Autism, Learn Bright developed our “Teaching Students on the Spectrum” Curriculum.  You will learn professional advice and strategies on how to effectively run an inclusive classroom, which includes ALL of your students.

Classroom Procedure

Every lesson plan provides you with a classroom procedure page that outlines a step-by-step guide to follow. You do not have to follow the guide exactly. The guide helps you organize the lesson and details when to hand out worksheets. It also lists information in the blue box that you might find useful. You will find the lesson objectives, state standards, and number of class sessions the lesson should take to complete in this area. In addition, it describes the supplies you will need as well as what and how you need to prepare beforehand.

Options for Lesson

Included with this lesson is an “Options for Lesson” section that lists a number of suggestions for activities to add to the lesson or substitutions for the ones already in the lesson.

Teacher Notes

The teacher notes page includes a paragraph with additional guidelines and things to think about as you begin to plan your lesson. This page also includes lines that you can use to add your own notes as you’re preparing for this lesson.

If you choose to administer the lesson pages to your students via PDF, you will need to save a new file that omits these pages. Otherwise, you can simply print out the applicable pages and keep these as reference for yourself when grading assignments.

    Great in a pinch!

    I love LB lessons! I especially love how substitute friendly they are!! I never have to worry about getting kids off track when I have to be out,. The lessons are so well explained, that a sub can easily give the lesson with very little prompt from me.

    Teaching Students on the Spectrum

    I have read over the material and as I implement it in the coming weeks, I will work on one concept at a time with my students, it is very appropriate for the students I work with. I like how it goes into different sections and all my students will be able to learn from the lessons. I work with about half of my students being on the spectrum and am looking forward to this great resource. Thank you.

    Great.for Added Curriculum

    I used some of the lessons to add to my children's homeschool curriculum. I am new to homeschooling, so this is great until I purchase additional curriculum.
