Description

Our Syllables Lesson Plan introduces young students to the concept of syllables. This engaging lesson plan equips students to identify and count the number of syllables in grade-appropriate words, which can be a foundation for improving spelling and decoding unfamiliar words. Students will develop their confidence and public speaking skills as they share their responses to various activities with the class. Students are also asked to find words, divide them into syllables, and write the number of syllables in the word in order to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and count the number of syllables in grade-appropriate words.

Good overall lesson - Completed over two 1 hour session with diverse abilities

Found a few spelling errors in the worksheet area. Otherwise quite well done and the students required very little assistance in completing the requirements!
