Our Pronoun Shifts lesson plan teaches students how to use pronouns correctly and how to shift pronouns correctly. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to write five examples of inappropriate pronoun shifts, which another pair of students in their class will then correct; they then correct the sentences that another pair wrote. Students are also asked to work independently to fill in blanks in given sentences with the correct pronoun, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson material.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to recognize and correct inappropriate shifts in pronoun number and person.
