Description

Welcome to our needs and wants lesson plan. This lesson is designed to help students understand the differences between needs and wants, and how some wants can become needs depending on circumstances.

We’ll start by defining a need as a thing needed to survive. Then we’ll define a want as something a person would like to have. Some items can be debated, and we recommend that students be allowed to discuss the reasons for their choices, and their disagreements.

This is a flexible lesson plan that can be adapted to different age groups and class sizes. It’s also a great opportunity for students to practice their critical thinking and communication skills.

So let’s get started!

I downloaded a number of lessons for my 2nd grade grandson whom I homeschool. They are well thought out, includes links to other information as well as video links. I would have to pay from $10-$20 for a lesson plan that provides this much information! Thank you for giving us an opportunity to go beyond the average education!
