Description
Our Narrative Writing with Details lesson plan teaches students how to write narratives with greater detail. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner and use their creativity to come up with an imaginary event and create a made-up story about the event, including details, the order of the events, and a closing sentence; they then answer given questions to help them write the final narrative text. Students are also asked to work independently to read given narrative texts and identify words that show the order of the events.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to write narratives recounting two or more appropriately sequenced events, include details regarding what happened, use temporal words to signal order and to provide a sense of closure.
