Description
Our Latin Roots and Spelling Patterns II lesson plan introduces students to Latin roots and how to spell them. Students work collaboratively to practice spelling a given set of words to reinforce the spelling patterns. Students are also asked to create a Latin root tree using the information gained in this lesson, giving them a visual aid to see how Latin roots are related and the kinds of words that contain them.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and define Latin roots and correctly spell and define words that contain given Latin roots.
