Description
Our Italics and Underlining lesson plan demonstrates how to use underlining or italicizing while writing compositions, essays, and other papers. Students engage their critical thinking skills as they explore important reasons to italicize or underline titles and other words when writing them. Students are asked to work in pairs and use their research skills to write sentences that demonstrate italics and underlining. Students are also asked to work independently to identify words or phrases that should be underlined or italicized in a given text.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to correctly use underlining or italicizing while writing compositions, essays, and other papers.
