Inferences

In our Inferences lesson plan, students learn what inferences are and how to make them when they’re reading. Students practice reading text and making inferences based on it using the strategies presented during this lesson.

Our Inferences lesson plan develops critical thinking skills as students will be able to define inference and use context clues from text to make inferences. Students are challenged to identify their evidence when making inferences as they reflect on a time when their logical inference in a real-world scenario was incorrect. Students are asked to collaborate on an assignment in which they make inferences based on images. They are also asked to work independently to further practice making inferences from images or text and explaining the process they used to make that inference.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define inference and use context clues from text to make inferences.

    Quality Lessons: Varied & Differentiated

I currently teach a self-contained classroom of under-privileged students that include English Language Learners, Special Education, and Special Population students who require differentiation. I am most pleased with these lessons as they have a variety of class activities, homework, and assessments. I can tailor the lesson to my needs as there is more than what can be covered in one session. THANK YOU for sharing your expertise.

    Homeschooling Made Easy

Anyone can homeschool using clarendon. I have found it to be a great starting point for myself without having to find material and books for the different ages in different places wish the curriculum were through high school grades.

    Inferences

My students and I love the inference activities. They are engaging and help to see that inferencing used clues, or reading between the lines. A Great Find

I homeschool my son and both he and I enjoy the units available on Clarendon. They’re very easy to follow and very informative.
