Description
Our Idioms, Adages and Proverbs lesson plan distinguishes the differences between idioms, adages, and proverbs. Students work in teams for a fun and informational charades game in which they act out a different idiom, adage, or expression and their teammates have to guess. Students are also asked to work independently on activities in which they match the idiom, adage, or proverb to its meaning to more directly test their understanding of the phrases.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define, identify, and use idioms, adages, and proverbs correctly.
