Description
Our Establish a Situation – Organize Event Sequence lesson plan teaches students about establishing narrators and characters and organizing a sequence of events correctly. During this lesson, students are asked to write and establish two different situations, introducing a narrator and characters; the first situation must be the beginning of a personal narrative while the second situation must be the beginning of a made-up story. Once completed, they will exchange their narrative/story beginnings with another student and complete them by adding events and other details. Students are also asked to place the events of given narratives in their correct order using context clues.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to establish a situation and introduce a narrator and/or characters and organize an event sequence that unfolds naturally.
