Description

Our Credibility of Sources lesson plan introduces students to primary and secondary resources, and how to identify and use the most credible and reliable resources available for research projects, general information, or other uses. Students are first asked to consider what problems may arise when doing research online, leading to a classwide discussion. After being introduced to the topic, students are asked to rate websites on the credibility based on a number of criteria. Students will use their critical thinking skills to engage with this topic.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and access the most credible and reliable sources for research and other uses and distinguish the difference between primary and secondary resources.
