Description
Our Conducting an Interview lesson plan gives students the strategies necessary to conduct a successful interview. The interview may be related to a school assignment, news gathering for an article, creating an oral history, or other purposes. The lesson includes the steps students will need to follow to prepare and conduct the interview, as well as the other skills necessary during the interview process. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to come up with 10 interview questions for each other and then conduct the interviews, finishing the activity by writing short stories about each other using the information from the interviews. Students are also asked to put the steps for conducting an effective interview in order, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to prepare, research, and identify the steps for conducting an interview, and use the information to conduct an effective interview.
