Description
Our Conclusions for Informative Text lesson plan introduces students to writing effective conclusions for informational texts. The lesson reviews what informative writing is and lists four steps for writing an effective conclusion. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively, with a partner, to write an informative text essay, including three different conclusions. Students are also asked to work on their own to write conclusions for several provided informational texts, demonstrating their ability to write unique and effective conclusions for different texts and purposes.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to provide a concluding statement or section that follows from the information or explanation presented and provide a sense of closure.
