Description
Our Understanding Fractions lesson plan teaches students all about fractions, including what they are and how they are used in math. During this lesson, students are asked to use their creativity to work with a partner to create a poster with the title: “Everything You Wanted to Learn About Fractions but Were Afraid to Ask”, including the information that they’ve learned during this lesson. Students are also asked to work independently to label fractions as proper fractions, improper fractions, or a mixed number.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define and explain the concept of a fraction and add some proper fractions with the same denominators.
