Description
Our Word Analysis Skills lesson plan teaches students strategies for decoding words using phonics and various other word analysis skills. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to write sentences with specific words, sort words into categories based on the number of syllables they have, and write rhyming words for given words. Students are also asked to read a paragraph, identify any words they don’t know, and then define those words.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
