Description
Our Word Problems with Division of Fractions lesson plan teaches students how to solve word problems that include the division of fractions. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to create a story problem for given fraction division problems; once the story is completed, they solve it using drawings, pictures, or other strategies. Students are also asked to solve practice problems on their own, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson material.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to solve word problems related to the division of fractions by fractions, whole numbers by fractions, and fractions by whole numbers.
